S8cinema, LIFT, Acción Cultural Española

(S8) Mostra Internacional de Cinema Periférico is a film event that promotes concepts such as film footage recovery and archives, in close coexistence with the new cinematographic expressions, avant-garde and contemporary cinema. Since its inception, the Mostra has made a determined effort to promote, disseminate and champion gauge formats, creating a unique space for this purpose within Spain.

LIFT is an internationally renowned artist-run charitable organisation launched in 1981, dedicated to facilitating excellence in the moving image through media arts education and production resources. LIFT exists to provide support and encouragement for independent filmmakers and artists through affordable access to production, post-production and exhibition equipment; professional and creative development.

Acción Cultural Española aims to promote, amongst others, the organisation of exhibitions and events to promote Spanish cultures and culture professionals, fostering internationalisation and the creation of networks with other professionals and institutions.

This international artist residency program aims to continue a strand of work that seeks to open new paths for emerging filmmakers, facilitating the creation of exchange links. On this occasion, this work is continued with an internationally renowned institution such as LIFT-Liaison of Independent Filmmakers of Toronto.
