Files. WHAT WE DO WITH THAT?
Files, nets and memory. Tools. Meetings with art and culture proffesionals.
The meeting with proffesionals, coordinated this year by María Mallol, discuss an important subject nowadays: files, analyzing their management and their significance when they become essential for the colective memory. Specially when we are talking about the artistic or cultural experiences made without institutional support, keep these files becomes decisive to ensure the survival of the experience.
It will be also analized the file format as an artistic leitmotiv to create heterogeneous proyects: from found footage to music remixes or cooperative web pages. A meeting specially designed for independent professionals who have developed or still develope projects close to files and they want to discover different ways to work with them.
These proffesionals will take part in the meeting at Observatory: Nekame Aramburu, a researcher, curator and independent manager, who designed the Collective Files project. Garbiñe Ortega proffesor and cinema programmer who has worked for Artium (Vitoria), La Casa Encendida (Madrid), and the Pacific Film Archive (California). Alg-a. Org., underwater artistic and free action community (proyect presented by Ignacio Muñoz y Berio) and Wiki-stories project, a movement of political, artistic and historical action that is opened to all people interested in the collective construction of history (proyect presented by Saioa Olmo).
Also at Observatory wil be offered the workshop OPEN CODE FILES/ REAL TIME FILES,
conducted byAlg-a.org and olholivre.
//////// Workshop Kodak
This session for professionals given by Kodak will be focused on the presentation of Kodak´s, Super 8, 16mm and 35 mm products. After that session, a workshop for professionals will be offered. In collaboration with Kodak and Asociación de Técnicos do Audiovisual de Galicia.
